Are you looking for some direction in life?

Perhaps you're feeling a little stuck or aimless, unclear of your next move.

Or you struggle to get through the monotony of daily life.

Or maybe, nothing is really wrong with your life, but yet you don't feel fulfilled.

If this sounds like you, you might be in the right place!

I've experienced these thoughts and emotions myself but now know that they do not need to define me or my reality.

One key way that I've come to know this has been through my experience of coaching conversations — both as a coach and as someone being coached.

What is a coaching conversation?

First, let's consider what ordinary, regular conversations typically look like:

Our social conversations might be about the latest Netflix show, the hottest bubble tea joint in town, venting about work or people in our lives.

These conversations often stay at the surface level, a level that is comfortable for most of us.
It allows us to distract ourselves from the underlying issues.

We might feel better in the short term, but our worries and issues quickly resurface again since nothing has fundamentally changed.

Here's where a coaching conversation can be helpful.

Oftentimes, what we need is a deeper conversation in a safe space, with probing questions to guide the process.

A coaching conversation is a collaborative process where the client's thinking is stimulated through inquiry, openness, and exploration. The goal is to support clients in gaining insight, thinking more creatively about problems or challenges, and identifying and developing their own solutions.

A coaching conversation is not one in which the coach tells you what to do next. If you have the image of a sports coach in your mind - someone who looks at your issues and tells you what steps to take to get out of it - that's not what we do here. It's called a conversation for a reason! â€‹

My coaching approach

I walk alongside you in your search for answers within.

I hold a safe space for you to explore your inner thoughts and desires — zero judgement on whatever comes up.

The reality is that no other person will be able to understand your circumstances, thoughts and feelings more than you do. And what that means is that the answers that you come up from within are the most powerful ones that will enable you to move forward. I have absolute trust that you have the answers within yourself.

How we can work together

These sessions are focused on making a change to your thoughts, behaviours and/or feelings about situations.

In particular, I am passionate about helping clients examine their existing patterns / behaviours and change those that are holding them back.

1. Life Coaching

1-on-1, 60 minutes

2. Enneagram Debrief

This session is formulated to kick-start your journey of self-discovery, using a personality typing tool called the Enneagram

This is my tool of choice because of how easily it resonates with most people as well as its ability to help us explore our core desires and motivations.

Clients' Experiences

Cheryl was open, present, curious, patient and allowed me to calm down and slow down my thoughts and to allow my feelings to come up. The questions helped me to see what I can do to change and be better for myself. I was able to connect with Cheryl and myself in the session.

Sash

I left the session with a deeper understanding of myself and my motivations. Cheryl was able to guide me in identifying areas I could work on and crafting an action plan to address those. I was impressed with how deep she led me to dig into my past experiences with her ability to ask the right questions.

Goh

Cheryl was meant to be a coach. Not only because she's genuinely adept with bringing you closer to your answers, but more importantly because she genuinely wants to do this. Cheryl's deep curiosity and gentle assuredness will hold you safely as you discover new parts of yourself.
